Omaha long history of Catholic schoos. In fact, there are over 20 Catholic elementary schools in the metro. This article explores some of the different options available.
All Saints Catholic School
Located in Downtown Omaha, All Saints Catholic School is a culturally diverse school emphasizing math, reading, and religious values. Students attend Mass twice weekly, and the school strives to maintain small class sizes.

Christ the King School
Christ the King School operates a preschool through 8th grade for students in the Omaha area. The 50+-year-old school integrates religious and academic instruction to create a challenging educational environment for young learners.

Holy Cross Catholic School
Serving students from preschool through 8th grade, Holy Cross Catholic School is an AdvancED accredited school in Omaha. The school supplements its small class sizes and learning experience with music, the visual arts, Spanish, and a number of extra-curricular activities.
Grades: PreK-8
Total enrollment: Approximately 400 students
Tuition: For K-8th grade, it is $2760 per student with discounted rates for multiple children.
Holy Name School
Holy Name School is located in Omaha, serving students in preschool through 8th grade. The small school offers its students Christ-centered education, with daily religious studies, weekly Mass, and a strong focus on the core subjects.

St. Vincent de Paul School
St. Vincent de Paul School is situated in northwest Omaha. It is affiliated with the St. Vincent de Paul parish, established in 1991, which is dedicated to the values of a compassionate French cleric known for aiding the underprivileged. The school’s mission reflects its commitment to these values, offering a comprehensive range of spiritual, educational, social, and service opportunities.
The institution boasts an experienced faculty, with an average of over a decade of teaching experience. Specialized educators are available to cater to diverse needs, providing advanced instruction in subjects such as art, Spanish, technology, physical education, and music. Additionally, the school offers a variety of extracurricular activities, including Math Counts, a speech team, a book club, and sports programs.
The school serves over 800 students in grades PreK-8, making it one of the largest private schools in the state.
The school has received multiple accreditations, including the prestigious US Department of Education Blue Ribbon School title in 2004.
Jesuit Academy
Jesuit Academy serves boys in 4th through 8th grades. This Omaha Catholic school strives to help its students continually succeed in high school and college. The school boasts small classes emphasizing STEM, music, arts, and athletics.
Grades: 4-8
Total enrollment: 65 students
Tuition: Based on a sliding scale. Any student who qualifies for free or reduced lunch is asked to pay $50 a month for 10 months ($500)
Mary Our Queen Catholic School
Mary Our Queen Catholic School in Southwest Omaha educates preschool through 8th-grade children. The AdvancED accredited Catholic school generally offers three classrooms per grade, with small class sizes. Students focus on core subjects, specialty programs, and religious studies.

St. Bernard Catholic School
St. Bernard Catholic School serves students in PreK through the 8th grade. SBCS is an accredited school focusing on the core subjects, religion, foreign languages, and the arts.

Found in the suburb of Bellevue, St. Bernadette Catholic School offers classes for students in preschool through 8th grade. The school focuses on high parent and community involvement, while at the same time collaborating with nearby Gross Catholic High School.

St. James/Seton Catholic School
St. James/Seton Catholic School is found in Omaha, serving students from preschool through 8th grade. Also known as SJS, the school is supported by the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton and St. James parishes.

St. Joan of Arc Catholic School
Found in Omaha’s Westgate neighborhood, St. Joan of Arc Catholic School has been teaching students in the metro area for more than a half-century. The faith-based school boasts small class sizes, with students participating in sports and various other after-school activities.

St. Margaret Mary Catholic School
St. Margaret Mary Catholic School provides a Catholic-based education for young students in the Omaha area. The school incorporates religion into all subjects. It provides an accelerated math curriculum for some of the older grades and is a past recipient of the Blue Ribbon School distinction by the US Department of Education.
The school is in midtown Omaha near Dundee and right across the street from the University of Nebraska – Omaha main campus.

Located in South Omaha, Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic School has the largest Latino student body in the entire Archdiocese of Omaha. Along with a faith-based curriculum, the school boasts a diverse student body and a technology-rich learning environment.
